Breaking all previous records for a season finale musical, OLIVER! closed out our 70th Anniversary Season with calls for “Please sir, we want some more!” What a wonderful cast and crew! Keith Wetzel’s costumes were brilliant, Dave Linfield’s set was absolutely beautiful and the most ambitious on our stage yet, and director Zach Johnson knocked it out of the park once again. Thank you all for ending our season with a real blockbuster. Sold out for the last three weeks of the run, we were able to seat many hopeful, last minute theatre lovers on our wait list at the door, but others…well, once those seats are gone, they’re gone.

Our Academy of Creative Theatre will present INTO THE WOODS, JR. starting next Friday, July 21st and running through August 6th. Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s brilliant fairy tale musical comes to life in this young performers’ adaptation of the groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning show. Featuring all of your favorite characters – Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch – this rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables is the perfect summer musical for your whole family. Welcome to our 71st season, the first as San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre. We are extremely proud of our 70 year history as the San Luis Obispo Little Theatre and thrilled to begin building our future in downtown SLO as SLO REP.
