General Illness Policy
Out of consideration for all our students, their families, and our staff, please DO NOT attend class if you are sick or displaying symptoms of illness (COVID or otherwise). Please do not return to class until your illness has fully passed. If a student is displaying signs of illness during class, they may be asked to wear a mask and/or parents may be called to pick up their student. Thank you for your cooperation.
Please read SLO REP’s plans to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff during COVID-19. As our understanding of COVID-19 and best practices changes, so might the protocols in this guide. We’ll keep parents as up to date as possible with changes.
Covid-19 Policies
Illness Policy: In accordance with CDC guidelines, please DO NOT attend class if you have tested positive for COVID, if you are experiencing any COVID-related symptoms, or if you have been exposed to COVID.
Masks: Masks are welcomed, but not required for participation at this time.
SLO REP Staff: All of SLO REP’s staff and instructors are fully vaccinated.
COVID-19 Positive: Do not attend class if you have tested positive for Covid-19.
- If you are fever-free without the use of fever-reducing medication, have no symptoms or your symptoms are improving, you may return to class.
- If your fever persists and/or your symptoms are not improving, please do not return to class. In this case, a tuition refund will be considered.
If we have a positive case within a class: Parents/guardians will be notified that there has been an exposure within their class group. We encourage exposed students to seek testing.
Higher Risk: We recommend that children with underlying health conditions not attend class as risk factors can be increased, even in enhanced safety conditions. We recommend that parents/guardians of higher-risk students consult their child’s medical provider to assess the risk before attending. For more information, on how to better protect high risk individuals from COVID-19 visit the CDC website.
If your child tests positive for COVID-19, please inform the Education Director OR Assistant Education Director immediately so that we can take appropriate steps. Email us at [email protected] or call (805) 781-3889 x 14.
