A Fond Farewell to the Lovely Lauren Moore

For the last three and a half years, our organization has enjoyed having the wonderful Lauren Moore on staff as our Volunteer Coordinator/House Manager. Those of you who have encountered Lauren in the lobby as a patron (or as a front-of-house volunteer) know first-hand what an incredible spirit and energy she brought to the theatre during her time with us. Sadly, Lauren is moving away from the area to begin the next stage of her career. We are extremely sorry to see her go, but wish her the absolutely best in her future endeavors!

Lauren’s departure means that we have an open position at the Little Theatre: Volunteer Director/House Management Supervisor. This part-time position will be responsible for all front-of-house volunteer scheduling, volunteer recruitment, and the scheduling/supervision of our House Management staff. We are hoping to fill this position ASAP. But before the lovely Lauren leaves us, you can see her performing onstage one last time!

Lauren_Show_CollageIn addition to managing volunteers and serving as our housemanager, Lauren has appeared in several shows on the Little Theatre stage over the years. From Oklahoma to Watergate and Other Solid Gold Hits and last season’s Singin’ in the Rain. This January she’ll be taking the stage in our next After Hours late-night comedy: My First Time. Directed by Jill Turnbow, this not-ready-for-primetime, side-splitting, one-act play will be a fun and fitting “swan-song” for Lauren and her time with us. My First Time runs January 22-30, Fridays and Saturdays at 9:30  pm and Sunday, January 24 at 7 pm, immediately following Little Women of Orchard House.

A Christmas Story and The Santaland Diaries both have one weekend of performances left before we close for the holidays and Lauren will be here all weekend. She’ll also be sticking around through our January production of Little Women of Orchard Place, doing a wonderful job taking care of our patrons and volunteers. So, if you see Lauren smiling in the lobby, please take a moment to wish her well.
