Some people don’t slide their way to the bottom, sometimes the bottom reaches up and knocks them out. Jill shares the intimate details of a two-year period when “the highlight was being diagnosed with cancer.” Finding the hilarious moments in family trauma and learning to be specifi c in her life’s plans, Jill brings her new one woman show to the SLO REP stage.

About Ubu’s Other Shoe & Staged Readings

In 2004, Michael Siebrass directed a staged reading of Gore Vidal’s thought provoking political satire, The Best Man, at SLO Little Theatre. 20 years and 119 plays later, we are thrilled to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of this challenging, thought-provoking and ground-breaking series of shows called Ubu’s Other Shoe! Our staged reading series is named after the infamous trilogy of plays written by Alred Jarry (Ubu Roi) that were banned from the stage after riots erupted on opening night. This exciting series of shows exists to off er actors, directors and audience members an opportunity to experience incredible plays that do not necessarily fit into our regular mainstage season.
