Good afternoon friends of the Little Theatre,
We finally wrapped up our 6-week, 24 performance run of My Generation! yesterday afternoon.
Thank you to the amazing cast/crew who generously gave so much of this time and
energy to this project in order to bring it to life on our stage. And THANK YOU
to Joan Crowder for an excellent review (even though it was a little late…). To read the review click HERE.

Finally: nothing that we do at the Little Theatre would be
possible without the generosity of sponsors and donors from our community.
Thank you to Laura Hopkins for sponsoring My
Generation! and for offering to sponsor the next two fundraisers at the Little Theatre. Your support
means the world to all of us at the Little Theatre! To discover more

The Little Theatre is proud to present quality entertainment to
the community on 44 weekends out of the year. With such an ambitious schedule,
time is of the essence after any production closes. Less than two hours after
the final bows for My Generation!
took place, Dave Linfield, the cast/crew, and several volunteers took down the
set ad restored the theatre/dressing rooms back to neutral.

Over the last two years, some patrons have asked me why our
Readers’ Theatre program at the Little Theatre is called “Ubu’s Other Shoe.”
Short answer: Ubu’s
Other Shoe is named after the infamous trilogy of plays written by Alfred Jarry
in the late 19th century. After riots erupted on opening and closing night
of Ubu Roi, the play was outlawed from the stage. Ubu’s Other Shoe pays homage to the spirit
of Jarry and all artists that strive to explore the fringes of their art.

Boom! Is a wonderful example of what
Ubu’s Other Shoe is all about: giving local actors, directors, technicians, and
audience members an opportunity to work on and experience cutting-edge plays
which may not be suitable for the mainstage season. To watch the trailer for
the 2008 Woolly Mammoth Theatre production of Boom!, (including interviews with the playwright), click HERE.
